Sulwhasoo House, 2025

event

A special program inviting leading chefs from New York’s culinary scene was held at the Sulwhasoo House in Bukchon. This event was planned through a collaboration between Sulwhasoo and NANRO, a non-profit organization dedicated to nurturing global talent in Korean cuisine. It was designed as an opportunity for chefs based in New York to experience Korean aesthetics and traditional culture firsthand.

For this program, Hohodang produced jihambo-inspired hanbok and aprons, and also prepared traditional accessories such as gat hats and binyeo hairpins, contributing to the overall visual direction of the event. Through traditional clothing and ornaments, we aimed to convey Korea’s unique sense of beauty naturally within a contemporary setting.
